Welcome dear reader, replenish your glass, stoke the fire into life and gently settle yourself into the supra termite tunnelled world of Terence, ‘Terry,’ Crabtree and Major William, ‘Bill,’ Plumpton. The foremost private investigators in the English speaking world, and beyond.
The most unhinged, the most crazed, the most off the rails of clients – driven to howling lunacy by foes too myriad and appalling to face alone, have sought solutions, conclusions and revelations at the quiet Thames side, Chiswick home of Crabtree & Plumpton.
Crabtree is Britains, (if not the known world’s) leading Neuropathic Pharmacological Sommelier and Hallucinogenic Expert. An advanced partaker and devisor of revolutionary ‘Test’ compounds. This extract from the ‘Plumpton Diaries,’ places us somewhere in the 1970’s in an alternative England – but one improved on by a happier national body and soul. One of constantly boozy old pubs, mighty village fairs of wild mayhem and mysteriously attuned friends and lurking never far, like a ghoulish scarecrow, vile foes. To be ground to dust.
The world of our two valiant and inexhaustible heroes, (a term Crabtree reserves for collapsed drinking chums) is bright with opportunities to find select, tough old public house maniacs, and quiet ancient solitude with a pipe of something original.
