Another update. But, is it? Well I am still retuning and revamping and generally giving the site a much needed overhaul. (allowing for idiotic mistakes) And slowly progress is being made.
Menus: Tidied up. Less of them and now with drop down sub-menu option. RSS, a baffling minefield. I had a plug in and it worked, but, you don’t need one. WP has built in RSS. So less being more, I removed it and I see that the RSS feed works fine. I use to test: Unread for iOS. And it proves all is oki-doki.
The homepage: As mentioned, the top menu header is now ok. Extraneous tildes, while a nice touch in the old days have been removed. A few lurk and if considered unnecessary, will go. Static centre page updated. Still the same but now with supplementary info. The new posts are useful, a quick peep at five latest site updates, (you see where this is headed) Right hand side, archives. Fair enough, all the site updates, and below that; categories: inanityUK – which is the same as new posts. Then, depending on application, mobile or web, RSS feed icon at top and bottom. The same info as latest posts. This may not appear in all browsers and is beyond my powers to get into. So I have a fair few repeated items, or rather the same item repeated. This will be improved on to reduce the Déjà vu nature.
