So, a lot has happened on the inanityUK network:
inanity.co.uk enjoyed a clean up. A fresh status – info update on the front page. The menus trimmed and organised. Content removed and content added.
Mainly the big news here was the inanityUKMusic project.
Two new WP sites added:
western-democracy.com and old-magnolia-studios.co.uk
The two site mirror each other as far as music output-content is concerned, but differ in that WD will be more about the musicianship and O M S about the recording process and general studio info.
Updates may be sporadic and few but will happen as usefully as news and info arises.
Currently here at inanityUKMusic the composing and recording of new music is underway. A new track will be released as and when it is completed.
Also, just to add to the fun, and because it proved and is still proving, an enjoyable creative experiment, we now have a Forum:
Anyone may register/sign up and post. Currently it has one main Board for any and all discussion. If, (and it is a big if) anyone does come along and has a particular field of expertise and interest, we can add a Board to contain the topic.
As much as I’d love to, I can’t put a gun to anyone’s head and compel them to join, (I have tried) so I strongly suspect it will remain as is for all of time.
I really don’t mind – I have long been aware of the abject and dismal complete and utter lack of interest in all things inanityUK wise from the inhabitants of our universe.
I have little interest in anything else other than my projects too, if I’m honest – So there y’go.
There are two new Bluesky accounts, well one new, inanityUK was up yonks ago. The main one is Western Democracy: https://bsky.app/profile/western-democracy.com
X/Twitter is now locked on both accounts. Whilst I never saw any agro and idiocy, (unless I actively read a thread from someone I followed) and wandered into a blathering stream of swill, my accounts were pretty cool and not part of any flame wars etc. But that was entirely because I followed musicians mainly. Lots left a long time ago, but with the clearly lunatic ravings from it’s current owner, laughable and idiotic as they are, I don’t want to be a supporter of the platform.
Of course Bluesky is not without it’s own version of madness, but atm it is the Social Media platform of choice.
That’s it for now – November is filling with chill air, rain battering long nights, afternoons that flame briefly then sink far away from sight. Grey light cloaks the morning and the pictures of last summer are hard to hold onto.
I quite like it.
